Downtown Resource Group in Minneapolis’ warehouse district caters to individuals and families looking to buy, sell, or lease property in the downtown area. In addition, they sponsor local events and are experts in what they like to call the “downtown lifestyle.”
What they wanted in a site was a reflection of all that they do and are a part of; a portal site to the downtown lifestyle while still presenting themselves as a realty company. A wireframe was completed to make sure everything was mapped out before design began.
One of the more impressive features of DRG was the database of properties they had for lease. Using WordPress custom post types and the Google Maps API, users are now able to search by specified parameters, and view the results on a map, branded with the DRG logo.
The site was launched in August of 2010 and has gone through a number of internal changes since then. The office support staff has learned how to navigate WordPress well, and they update the site daily.
