In accordance with new laws regarding the debt consolidation industry, CESI debt solutions needed a members only site that contained educational materials and advice, as well as a support forum.
There were two big challenges. The first was that the site needed to require that users read and fully understand articles in a specific order. The initial idea was to use an LMS like Moodle, but it lacked the ease of use and flexibility of WordPress. A custom plugin was written that had users take a quiz based on information they read in the current chapter, and based on their grade they were given access to the next chapter.
The second challenge was that all of the users’ data was stored in a Salesforce database, and had to be dynamically imported in the users table in WordPress when people signed up for courses. Using the Gravity Forms Salesforce Plugin and some custom code, a link was established between the two databases.
The site is set to launch in November, and will be the first of its kind in the industry.
